Tigerwood
Tigerwood is a uniquely beautiful, boldly striped species. Its color consists of orange/reddish brown background tones with wide dark brownish/black striping. On the Janka Hardness Scale, Tigerwood ranks at a 2160, but hardness does not mean durability. Due to the tight grain and smooth surface of Tigerwood, it tends to show scratches more easily than more open grained products such as Oak. Tigerwood is highly photosensitive and will darken with exposure to UV-light (sunlight). It begins at a tan/brown color with black striping and darkens to a deep, dark red color with black striping.
